OVERVIEW:
Rods Illustrated was a small, pocket-sized, bi-monthly magazine created by Universal Publishing in Canton, Ohio.
The publisher was Arnold Abramson, and the first editor was Bern Williams. The only other editor was Sam Joosten, who went on to become the editor of
Super Stockers in Action.
The magazine was first printed in June, 1958 and ceased publication in June, 1960. In the October, 1964 issue, the title and hot rod content was resurrected and printed along with Customs Illustrated.
