OVERVIEW:
Speed & Kulture is actively published by Trent Sherrill from Corpus Christi, Texas. It is a 100 page,
quarterly, high quality magazine. Featuring vintage rods, customs and drag machinery from the 1940s through the 1960s, it delivers a big dose of classic
rodding nostalgia and traditional styles without all the
excess found in many "old skool" or "retro greaser" publications.
The magazine has its roots in Rod & Kulture magazine. When that title was ended by publisher Scott Stevens (aka Zombie) in 2019, Mr. Sherrill purchased the Rod & Kulture website and social media pages, re-labeled them, and launched Speed & Kulture with a new look.
Speed & Kulture employes a clever device where it has two halfs, each with separate covers. The "A" side typically includes traditional rods and customs. Flip it over to the "B" side and you get vintage racing machinery from the same era. Each half is separated with a feature vehicle and attractively dressed model. Both "A" and "B" covers are shown below.
