OVERVIEW:
Popular Off-Roading was published by Challenge Publications, and it was a re-titling of
O.R.V.. Numbering continued from its predecessor, and the staff was largely unchanged,
with Ed Schnepf as the publisher and editorial duties handled by Brian Brennan.
The title was changed to more directly communicate the editorial intent of the publisher. Content continued with driving impreessions, some how-to tips, product reviews, off-road race coverage and travel adventure stories.

The publisher provided information to The Standard Periodical Directory, but circulation data was
reported as zero.
CONTENT COMPLETENESS:
A total of 20 issues were printed from June, 1978 to January, 1980. All cover images are complete, and we apologize for the
