OVERVIEW: Pickup Van & 4WD or "PV4" was first published in October, 1972 by Bond-Parkhurst Publications in Newport Beach, California.
It focused on Detroit and foreign vans, pickup and four
wheel drive vehicles. Content included road tests, product evaluations and technical how-to articles.
OWNERSHIP:
Bond-Parkhurst, a CBS division, initally created the title. It was sold to Petersen Publishing in May, 1982. Publication under the original name
ended in April, 1984 when it was re-titled to
Pickups & Mini-Trucks. This new title continued for a short period until June, 1985.
