The titles listed below are ones that we have identified but unfortunately have either limited information, missing start and end dates,or incomplete cover images. We continue to search for these images so that we may publish a complete set. We feel it is important to list them, even with incomplete information, so future researchers may be able to expand our body of knowledge.
The interesting thing about this category is that it contains magazines that were produced both by clubs and also by independent, commercial publishers. The list of SCCA regional club magazines and newsletters is extensive, but includes such titles as CSC, Post Grid, and The Wheel. A complete list of SCCA regional titles can be found HERE.
The list below is focused on those commercial titles published independently from national and regional club magazines and newsletters.
- 0-60 (Fall 2007 - Winter 2011). Published by Harris Publications and editor Brian Scotto, it was a high quality magazine covering performance-modified foreign compacts, sports and exotic cars. Readers appreciated the sleek layout and good design. Mr Scotto started in Fall, 2007 and published either quarterly or bi-monthly. We believe about two dozen issues were printed. When print ended, it went to an online version.
- Badge Bar Journal (1954 - 1958). This title was published by Alden W. Wintringham and Motoringham Ltd from P.O. Box 641, San Rafael, California. We believe there were 51 issues printed.
- Long Island Sports Car News (1968 - ??). A small independent print publication covering Long Island, New York racing activities.
- The Stopwatcher (1964 - 1970?). With the tag line, "Weekly Sentinel for the Sports Car Set", the title covered news and racing events in the Mid-Atlantic area. It was published from Bethesda, Maryland and printed in a newspaper style.
- Top Wheels (1987? - 1990?). Self-labeled as "The Ultimate Luxury Automobile Magazine", this title was published by TWC in New York City. It featured sports cars and exotics, and distribution appears to have been in both the U.S. and U.K.
