OVERVIEW:
Special Interest Autos (SIA) was published monthly starting in 1970 by Hemmings Motor News. SIA
focused on collector cars from the 1920s to the 1980s. Content included histories of specific cars, technical aspects of these cars in laymen's terms,
and interviews with stylists and engineers.
PUBLICATION DATA:
Hemmings and Special Interest Publications both provided net paid circulation data to
N.W. Ayer's Directory of Newspapers and Periodicals,
Gale Research's Directory of Publications, and Oxbridge Communication's
The Standard Periodical Directory from 1974 to 2002.
Average monthly print production grew from 21,000 to 34,400 issues. More information can be
