Auto Age Magazine Covers 1953 - 1956
Auto Age magazine was published several times a year in a large format from February, 1953 through August, 1956. The publisher was Martin Goodman, and the editor was John Bentley. Bentley wrote several books including The Old Car Book, Antique Automobiles and All the World's Cars 1954.
Goodman stopped self-publishing and distribution in 1956, and he switched distribution to American News Corporation (ANC). ANC requested he drop his title as it already managed several automotive related titles. Goodman only had a hand in this one automotive title.
PUBLICATION DATA: There is minimal information about Auto Age publication volumes. The publisher only submitted data one year - in 1955. In that one year, it ranked #3 among automotive titles that provided circulation details. It competed with Hot Rod and Motor Trend.
