Karting Sport was published by Harle Publications in Canton, Ohio in a digest- or trade-sized format. The publishers were Joseph Hardie and Raymond Kelly, who published several automotive titles including Speed Mechanics and Custom Craft.
It is unclear exactly how the publisher organized sequential numbering, but the first issue of Karting Sport appears to have started where How To Soup Up Your Car ended.
After 10 issues, it was re-titled as Racing Karts.
The publisher provided net paid circulation data to N.W. Ayer's compendium for 1961 only. Reported circulation was 131,000 print issues annually.
