OVERVIEW:
Custom Cars and Kart was published monthly by Teen Publications in Los Angeles, California. The publisher was
Robert E. Petersen, and Dick Day was the editor. After two issues, the title was changed to simply Kart. In
December, 1960, the format was upgraded from trade-sized to full-size. And after fourteen issues, it was folded into
Car Craft with the November, 1961 issue.
PUBLICATION DATA:
The publisher provided net paid circulation data to N.W Ayer's compendium for 1961 only. Reported print production was 320,000 issues annually.
CONTENT COMPLETENESS:
A total of 14 issues was printed from September, 1960 through October, 1961. All cover images are complete.
