OVERVIEW:
Sport Buggies was published monthly by Magazine Distributors International Circulation Corp in Reseda, California. The
publisher was Robert F. Ames, the same person who published Four Wheeler.
Like most automotive-related magazines, the content focused on off-road racing, new products and testing, vehicle road tests, performance upgrades and how-to technical tips. The publishing schedule was bi-monthly in 1968 and switched to monthly in 1969. Its life was short, as content was then folded into Four Wheeler.
Mr Ames also published Western Treasures, a periodical that featured ghost towns, old mines, and treasure hunting. It was later retitled as Western & Eastern Treasures.
