OVERVIEW:
Mopar Action was published by Harris Publications with its headquarters in New York. Stanley Harris founded the organization in 1977 and published many specialty titles. Like its competitors -- Mopar Muscle, Chrysler Power, and High Performance Mopar -- the magazine focused on all aspects of Mopar performance vehicles including how-to tips, restorations, replacement parts and featured muscle cars.

Note that volume and series numbering schemes were a bit confusing from 1998 through 2014. Although six issues per year were normally printed, in this time period the publisher often issued eight issues in a volume but spanning two years. The entirety of volume 16 was also repeated.

Athlon Media purchased all the titles from Harris in 2016, and it subsequently resurrected Mopar Action with the December, 2017 issue. The magazine was printed through February, 2024 then ended due to continued competition from the internet and cost increases for print media.
