OVERVIEW
True's Automobile Yearbook was published by Fawcett Publications in Greenwich, Connecticut under their very popular men's magazine, True. The yearbook magazine content included clever, intriguing and humorous articles about cars and car people and kept with the True tradition of great writing.
Many of the most well known automotive writers of the '50s and '60s contributed including Dean Batchelor, Griff Borgeson, Eugene Jaderquist, Ken W. Purdy, Roger Huntington, Tom McCahill, Karl Ludvigsen and John Bentley.
The President of Fawcett was Roger Fawcett, and the editorial director was Ralph Daigh. A handful of people edited the yearbook series including Ken Purdy (who contributed to Playboy, Argosy and Car and Driver) and John Kingdon (who edited Charleton Publication's Sports Car Pictorial and Sports Cars and Hot Rods)..
