Super Stock and F/X -- Super Stock & Funny Car
Magazine Covers 1965 - 1972
Super Stock & F/X magazine was first published in 1965 by Irwin Stein and his Royal Publications. Stein had numerous car magazines in the era. He was well known as a New York publisher and owner of Lancer Books. He published many genres, but was best known for science fiction, detective and heroic fantasies.
This was a large format, quarterly publication. In the September, 1970 issue, it was re-titled as Super Stock & Funny Cars. Both titles focused on drag racing and the exciting era of the late 1960s as the super stock class evolved. Note the volume and serial numbering was erratic in this title.
