The titles listed below are ones that we have identified but unfortunately have either limited information, missing start and end dates, or incomplete cover images. We continue to search for these images so that we may publish a complete set. We feel it is important to list them, even with incomplete information, so future researchers may be able to expand our body of knowledge.

Auto Racing Digest Auto Racing Digest (1973 - 1991). Published by Century Publishing Co in Evanston, Illinois, this covered all the major racing events and sanctioning bodies in the U.S.
Auto-X Auto-X (Nov 1984 - Jul 1989). This title was originally started in 1984 in Deland, Florida by publisher Tim Suddard and his wife Margie. It was later re-titled to Grassroots Motorsports.
Circle Track Circle Track (1982 - 2018). This magazine was produced by Petersen Publishing as a one-shot. But it was so successful it became a monthly title. It was created to serve as the definitive technical voice for short-track oval racing. Before the internet, it filled a vital niche by providing grassroots and professional racers with in-depth mechanical guides, setup tips, and precise engineering data.
Circle Track & Highway (April 1971 - June 1972).. This title captured regional American racing, sprint cars, and early-70s road/oval hybrid events. All cover images can be found at Russ Thompson Racing website.
Formula Formula (1973 - 1979). This international Formula racing magazine was publishing by Formula Enterprise and John Benton from Santa Ana, California. It later became RaceCar.
Grassroot Motorsports Grassroots Motorsports (July 1989 - present). This title started as Auto-X. It was then co-titled as Auto-X & Grassroots Motorsports from November, 1988 to July, 1989. The name change came with the July, 1989 issue. Founded by Tim Suddard, it focused on budget-friendly amateur racing, autocross, and project cars rather than expensive exotic supercars. Over 40 years in print, it has grown into a leading independent, family-owned print and digital resource for automotive enthusiasts.
GT Motorsports GT Motorsports (July 1986 - ??). Little is known about this title other than it covered domestic and international road racing including prominent SCCA and IMSA events characteristic of the mid-1980s racing scene.
Motor Sport International Motor Sport International (1965 - ??). Little is known about this title. It was published by Peter S. Talbert from San Francisco, California starting with the November, 1965 issue. Only two issues have been found.
Motorsports Illustrated Motorsports Illustrated (1990 - ??). Only the premier issue from March 1990 has been found.
Open Wheel Open Wheel (1980 to 2021). Launched in 1980 and published by Lopez Publications based in Alexandria, Virginia, it was a premier, widely read periodical dedicated strictly to open-wheel auto racing, covering USAC, sprint cars, midgets, and the Indianapolis 500. The publisher also produced Stock Car Racing magazine. Print production averaged about 50,000 issues per month.
Pit Stop Pit Stop (1962 to ??). Published by the Micro Midget Racing Association, content covered micro-midget racing. Micro midgets were scaled down traditional, full-sized midget cars and were popular from the post-WWII era through the 1960s. These lightweight, low-cost homebuilt or custom-built machines featured motorcycle or outboard engines and weighed as little as 250 to 480 pounds with the driver. We have only found a few issues from 1962.
Racing Pictorial Racing Pictorial (1959 to 1986. All cover images can be found at Russ Thompson Racing website.
Stock Car and Motorsports Stock Car and Motorsports (1986 to ??). Little is known about this magazine, and we have only found one issue.
The Shelby American The Shelby American (1979 to present). This club magazine is published by the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC). It was originally started in 1975 as The Marque, but the title changed with the May/June 1979 issue. It is still in production.
Top Gear Top Gear (1964 to ??). Many early car magazines were regionally-focused including this one that covered motorsports and racing in the New York area. Produced in the Warminster, PA area in the early 1960s, it was heavily focused on the Delaware Valley sports car racing scene and SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) events. Only a few issues have been found.
Victory Lane Victory Lane (1986 to July 2020). Published by Dewey Dellinger in Palo Alto, California, it covered vintage racing activities. It is still published but only in digital form since July, 2020.
