OVERVIEW:
Blue Bars is a publication of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC). The club was started
in 1959, and the publication began print production in 1962 and which continues to the present. The non-profit organization
has roughly 14,500 members in 215 clubs that receive the magazine. Of the 1,000 or so total local and national Corvette clubs in the
United States, the NCCC is one of the two largest ones.
A key benefit of club membership is the insurance provided by a third party which covers the vehicle and all meetings, social events, car shows and competition events. The club administers a Competition Program at the National level.
These magazines are rare given the low print production when compared to commercial magazines like Corvette Magazine. So, the NCCC provides complete scanned content of past issues on its website, making it easy for the magazine enthusiast.
