OVERVIEW:
Sports Review's Motorspeed magazine was published annually by Sports Review Publishing Company, 185 North Wabash Avenue (and later at 404 North Wesley Avenue), Chicago, Illinois. The publisher was Forrest Kable who also owned Kable Printing Company in Mount Morris, Illinois, one of the largest magazine printer and distributor houses in the United States.
The title was a motorsport-oriented magazine published annually. The first editor was Fred Horsley, but after two issues he was replaced by Don O'Reilly. Mr O'Reilly was an early editor of Speed Age and Car Life magazines.
This title was managed by the broader Sports Review organization with various topical issues published either four or six times per year with content focused on baseball, football, basketball, motorsports and later wrestling. The larger organization was headquartered in New York City.
