OVERVIEW:
Sports Cars Illustrated was originally started in July, 1955
and was sold to Ziff-Davis sometime in 1956. It ended with the March, 1961 issue when it was renamed
Car and Driver. Content focused primarily on small
European sports cars including road tests and racing activities.

Besides publishing the monthly title, editors created these yearbooks which functioned as buyer's guide for foreign and domestic performance cars. We don't know how much longer the title continued, but clearly later issues stated Buyer's Guide.
